On October 25, Research Center for Religious Studies participated in a training session "Rights to Freedom of Religion and Gender Equality" by experts from Norway Marie Harbaugh and Dillnia Karbasyan
We analyzed problems in the sphere of gender relations in Kyrgyzstan and their connection with religious freedom issues and identified the most common types of discrimination and the most negative ones.
Not always common types of discrimination have a strong impact on society. However, individual conflicts can greatly increase social tensions and lead to many other forms of violence.
It is therefore important to work not so much with the commonly encountered problems, but with the most dangerous ones with the risk of further escalation.
